Fall Outfits- Football/Sporting Events

Whether it is football, soccer, or any other fall sport that is popular at your school. At some point you are going to go out at night to an outdoor event, and although you want to stay warm, you can look adorable too.

One of my favorite fall outfits, and weirdly enough its one of the reasons I love far so much is layering clothes to the max.

I start with dark washed skinny jeans with a cute pair of boots (your color of choice), I put on a patterned sweater, a sweatshirt that matches a color in the sweater, and your choice of a leather jacket (dark) or a denim jacket (must be noticeably lighter than the jeans).. also add a cute knit hat OR fingerless gloves!

Summer Makeup

Sorry for being MIA the past few weeks. I'm hoping to fall into my normal schedule once September comes and ill be able to post more. I've also planned to start posting more pictures of my looks. I know I know. long time coming, right? well I'll start now and you won't be disappointed.

Anyway- this past week I've been on vacation with my family at the beach. I got a very nice tan and any blemishes I had on my face disappeared. As well as my need for makeup. Because think about it- I don't know about everyone else. but I personally only wear makeup to have a little bit of glow in my skin and to have blemish free skin- even though I have that now. doesn't mean I can't look even better. but what I suggest for if you're on a beach vacation is this-

-A Brown or Charcoal eyeliner (nothing too harsh, just dark enough to make your eyes pop) for your waterline
-peach or pale pink blush
- mascara (only a slight amount to curl eye lashes)
-gold eyeshadow
-bronzer (evens out face tan)

The Road to Good Hygiene

For my first post in August, I thought that I would steer away from the upcoming trends to deal with something that is crucially important in the days of an adolecent and all through the rest of your life.

Having good hygiene is arguably the most important thing to having a good appearance.

From head to toe I will describe what needs to be done to make sure that you look fresh and clean all the time!

Hair: Make sure that you have clean hair by washing it either everyday or every other day. Depending on how greesy your hair gets. I personally wash my hair everyday, I understand that it is bad for your hair, but I would rather have dry hair than dirty hair.

Face: Make sure you wash your face twice a day depending on your skin type, if you don't remember to do it in the AM make sure you wash it in the PM due to the fact you're pretty much scrubbing the day off your skin. Oily, dirty skin is a big no no.

Teeth: This is a no brainer, but theres no harm in reminding you to brush your teeth two or three times a day. Along with that, whitening mouth wash (I reccommend Crest 3D White). Floss and regular mouth wash is a good thing too.

Nose: Make sure your nose hairs are always waxed/cut to make sure none are visibly hanging out of your nose! GROSS! Waxing isn't necessary in my opinion, but if you have tollerace for pain, and the money- go for it, you'll probably feel clean as a whistle. If you don't, get a tiny pair of sisscors or a nose hair trimmer and you'll be good to go!

Eyebrows: Make sure they are all trimmed/waxed! They open up your face and make you look fresh as a daisy!

Girls, Upper Lip Hair: make sure you wax it, enough said.

Eyes: If you have bloodshot eyes, make sure you have visine to take care of that- but remember: too much of a good thing is bad. And obviously you want to make sure you don't have eye boogers or something like that.

For Guys: Not that I think guys are reading this- but just in case, if going for the scruffy facial hair look isnt your thing, make sure you shave everyday!

For Ladies: Shaving your legs everyday or every other day during the summer is a crucial! Along with shaving your under arms. I can't stress this enough, I know that if I was a guy- I would be super turned off by a girl who had hair legs and armpits.. just saying.

Overall Scent: When I get out the shower, everyday I have my go-to products that help me stay fresh and smelling clean all day. I have an unscented body lotion that I use directly after I shower and especially after I shave my legs. Then I put on Dove pearl finish deodorant, I love the smell, and I think it lasts a really long time. After that, I apply powder to my under arms, this prevents chaffing and helps absorb sweat if I'm going to be out in the sun. I also have my favorite body mist from the bath and body works stress relief collection. It's minty, and clean. My favorite scents. If I ever run out of that I go for a clean scented body mist that I have as back up, I recommend the mists from bath and body works, along with fresh smelling scents like citrus (lemon, lime, orange) or powder scent, or mint. In my opinion are the cleanest. I always get compliments like "You smell great!" so hopefully if you follow these tips, it'll be you too.

Back to School Trends: Bracelets

"But what kind of bracelets, Liz?" Well I'll tell you-

Bangles and cuffs!

You know cuffs.. I've been seeing them for a while now, just make sure not to wear ones that are too big or one on each wrist- trust me, you don't want to do that. You'll look like a metal christmas tree (the words of a wise Michael Korrs)

Bangles, everyone knows them. Just a bunch of bracelets stacked on top of each other..

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to spend a lot of money on jewelry, because you can get all the same stuff at places like forever 21 and charlotte russe for a fraction of the price.

Now I'm not saying that I'm opposed to pearl earrings and diamond necklaces, those have real value and should be splurged on, all I'm saying is that it's not worth it to buy a $30 chinsy bracelet when you can get somewhere else for $8.. yeah true story, I'm speaking out of hurt.

Now I'm not going to post links to jewelry, but i can definitely tell you the best places to get jewelry for great prices..

Back to School Trends: Super Skinny Jeans

You know the difference between super skinny and skinny right? If you don't, here it is: Super skinny are the leggings of jeans. They hug every inch of skin on your legs, whereas skinny are still form fitting but don't hug the ankle as much.

My favorite place to buy jeans are Hollister and Abercrombie. I know a lot of people don't really like Hollister and Abercrombie things, but just hear me out.

When it comes to denim, you need to keep quality in mind, and personally I think Hollister and Abercrombie have wonderful quality for the price (on sale I mean). If you are totally opposed to buying from there, I'd recommend American Eagle, American Apparal, or anywhere where the denim feels not stiff, but firm and won't rip. But please take my word for it, Hollister & Abercrombie have beautiful and quality jeans in any leg, wash, and ripped amount you could want.

Back to School Trends: Leather Jackets

I've been doing my research and I am going to touch on things that are going to be trends this coming fall for the next three months or so here we go.

The first trend I'm going to talk about is the leather jacket.

I wore a leather jacket throughout the fall and into the early winter last year and I always felt stylish and like a bad-ass. Although this wasn't the most quality of items in my closet, I thought it gave my outfit that sharp edginess it needed to take it one knotch higher.

My leather jacket was a simple purposly beat-up light black leather jacket that zipped up slightly to the side. It wasn't very thick and didn't really keep me warm during December. But it was good if I was ever cold during school, I could just throw it on. It looked equally like a jacket you would wear during school or something you'd wear outside.

I bought mine at forever 21 and I will post some links at the bottom of this post for some cute ones I found as well.

Now I personally think that a leather jacket can be a good investment because it can easily feel cheap. But I was lucky that mine didn't seem cheap even though it was. If I was made of money, I probably wouldn't have gone to forever 21 to buy it, but it served it's purpose and it looks great.

Now there are many different colors of leather jackets, theres the traditional smooth black, beat up black (has a grey tint to it), grey, dark tan, khaki, brown, and chamois (that burnt orange/brown color). All these colors are great and can really add different tones to different outfits.

For that rock/glam look, wear a black pencil skirt, black leather jacket, and tons of silver accessories (not too much) for a "Yeah I'm hot, but don't f*** with me" look.

These are some jackets in various colors that I recommend!

Easy, Simple, Stylish Outfit!

An easy outfit that looks adorable and stylish is simple.

Nordstrom in the junior department, most of the time carries tons of soft, cotton cardigans. Pair one of those in an color (I have tomato red, yellow, light blue, and purple), with a cute pair of shorts (my favorite are denim), gladiators/flip flops, a cute headband, and necklace- and youre all set!
